o A Brief Description of the AU World
The world within the Inu x Boku SS (or Youko x Boku SS) universe takes place in present day Japan. The city's name is currently unknown. However, the small town is described as a growing city. The apartment complex known as the Ayakashikan (or Maison de Ayakashi) is in the center of this world. Most of those that arrive will either arrive in front of the apartment complex or within the various places of the complex -- such as the lounge, elevator, bar, bath house, or the various different apartment rooms. Of course, if the mansion is not to your satisfaction, then anyone can appear at the local high school known as Seijou Academy, in the middle of the national forest park known as Tokiwa Forest Park, or Seijou park that is a few blocks away from the apartment complex.
Nothing much about the world has changed, it is like any other world with a day and night. There are cars and the modern technology that the year 2012 has to offer. The only differences many people will notice, especially those who are from this particular world, that the demon attacks have grown worse. Darkness is taking place longer than expected -- taking an extra four hours from the twelve hours of daylight -- so night is sixteen hours long while daylight hours only remain for eight hours, but even then there is barely any sun nowadays. During half of those daylight hours, it will be raining non-stop while during the other half it will be extremely cloudy with very little sunlight.
The world has been slowly decaying until the Nightmares found their way into this world. Now it is decaying and growing worse by the day as demons, who were once usually pacifists, have began to change into even more violent ones -- attacking both humans and other Atavists alike. Their senses might have heighten as they now chase after anyone and anything they can smell. Normal humans, even those with super powers, will find they are the new targets! Weak level demons will attack humans without fear while stronger level demons will only attack other Atavist and demons. Luckily, rain is the only way to hide from other demons, but that means whoever is in the world need to get wet or else they will be targets again.
The only official safe haven -- other than being out in the rain -- are the many Ayakashikan or Maison de Ayakashi apartment complexes surrounding all of Japan. They have their own security system designed to keep demons away. The Atavist that used to live in the apartment complex, especially those working as the SS, have been hard at work in protecting the apartments against stronger level demons. Many of the Atavists, who are not SS, are the second to defend the apartment complex whenever the SS are out to look for much needed supplies such as food, water, medicine, and gas. Supplies are getting harder to come by at this point of the war.
Even so, many apartment buildings have been defeated and destroyed, so there is very little humans who are still alive in this world. The only apartment complex many will find is the one in the center of this world. There are not many humans or Atavists taking shelter for many reasons, but there is a small community living within.

o Locations
The luxurious apartment complex is officially known as the safe haven against the demon attacks creating havoc in the city during the evening hours especially during the hours of sunset and sunrise. The Apartment Complex is an eleven story high building that has everything one would need to feel comfortable. Every floor not only has a pair of apartment rooms that are the size of three small apartments each, but have a recreation floor as well.
In the first floor -- there is a large lounge that is two stories tall. One can eat in the large lounge room that is filled with tables and chairs. Or one can eat at the second floor, where the accommodations have a couple of couches with a low dining table in front of them.
On the second floor -- there is a large bath house that is separated by gender. Both the men and women side have everything needed to take a warm bath. Think of it as a Japanese public bath, but more luxurious.
On the third floor -- there is a private bar that sells all types of liquor and alcoholic drinks. It used to have all types of luxurious alcoholic beverages from around the world, but now it is used an extra room for people to sleep and eat in.
On the fourth floor -- there used to be an indoor balcony, where anyone can sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the city. Now, just like the bar, it was transformed into a floor for the SS and other Atavist to keep watch over the apartment complex against other demon attacks.
On the fifth floor -- there used to be an outdoor garden that had a small stream, where residents can go and relax. However, due to all the demon attacks, the garden was destroyed during the first battles against the demons. The door to the roof is now locked and covered entirely by furniture.
☒ Seijou Academy
This is the town's most prestigious academy that is located a few blocks north from the Maison de Ayakashi. It will take no more than half an hour to walk from the school to the mansion while at car it will take half the length of time to arrive.
The building is two stories tall and has all the rooms and facilities a normal school would have. There are many classrooms. Some classrooms are untouched while other rooms will have damages -- from mild to extreme. There might even be hints of blood and dead corpses of students, teachers, or other unsuspecting victims.
Demons and nightmares have, more or less, made this area as one of their own territories to hunt for unsuspecting victims.
☒ Seijou park
This local park lies a few blocks east from the Maison de Ayakashi. At a walking distance, it should take no more than ten to fifteen minutes to visit. It is clear from the swings, slides, and other playground equipment that many families used to visit these grounds. Sadly, however, there is not much to say other than it is now plague with demons especially during the evening hours.
Nowadays the park is filled with Obariyon or the Sleeve-Tugging-Badger, but it is rumored that other demons have taken refuge of these grounds. It is difficult to determine the kinds because many people usually never return from exploring the park.
☒ Tokiwa Forest Park
A national forest park is located South from the apartment complex. It is the most furthest piece of location as it takes forty minutes by car to arrive to this piece of land.
Not many people visit especially when it is a location entirely filled to the brim with evil spirits, youkai, and nightmares of all kinds and levels. It is rumored a group of people might have died in the park, so their spirits is now haunting the grounds. How true these rumors are currently unknown.
o Weather
→ Four hours of rain daily during the daylight hours.
→ Clear evenings for fourteen hours.
→ Cloudy weather for the rest of the daytime hours.
Weather does not change and will always appear as it is explained from above.
The daytime hours have been shortened to eight hours while the evening time hours have increase from twelve to sixteen hours. Due to the time changes, the morning hours have been eliminated by the darkness, so everyone only expects afternoon hours representing day.
o Demon/Nightmare List
Nurikabe is a youkai, known as a demon in other words, that creates invisible walls using it's body to block travelers during the evening hours.
This is one of the lower level youkai that will attack humans by forming a wall around them, in order, to crush them to death. Think of it as a small area becoming smaller and smaller over time.
They only appear during the evening hours and might be found accompanied by a group of low level nightmares.
Obariyon is known as the Piggy-Back Demon. They hide on paths at night and jump onto traveler's backs.
Though it usually clings and never attacks their hosts, in this AU setting, they do attack and kill both humans and unsuspecting demons alike. They climb and travel in the tree tops at night. Attacks are usually found from above with a group of four or five other Obariyon monsters.
They only appear in the evening hours.
Nure-Onna is a youkai with the head of a woman and the body of a snake. They attack other humans and demons alike by using their tail, long hair, and other water attacks.
Unlike the other two youkai, Nure-Onna only appears during the daylight hours while it rains. Even though they are a water-base demon, she only hunts those that are away from the rain. Due to her poor eye-sight, anyone crossing her path during a rain storm will be confused for another of her kind.
She is a higher level demon that is found working alone. However, there will be times, where a few demons will follow her.
The Sleeve-Tugging-Badger is a youkai that hunts other humans and demons in the evening and cloudy daylight hours of the day. He takes the form of a harmless badger or shadow.
The power of the Sleeve-Tugging-Badger is to pull other people into their illusions, where they will create the world of a person's choosing. Whoever falls into their illusions will be swallowed by the shadows and placed under a deep sleep allowing the Nightmares to attack their unsuspecting victims while they rest.
This particular demon is one of the most powerful. Most people will fall into their illusions and the only way to be saved is by another Atavist that can view past those illusions.
